Seer K. Facet’s life has taken an unexpected path, one that began in the tranquil community nestled along the Great Lakes. Growing up surrounded by the vast expanse of freshwater and the gentle lapping of waves, Facet’s earliest memories were shaped by a deep appreciation for the natural world and a strong sense of community.

After exploring diverse career avenues, from finance to hospitality to e-commerce, Facet eventually found his calling in promoting tourism and advocating for environmentally responsible practices. As their family grew, so did their commitment to ensuring a livable future for their children, leading them to become increasingly involved in local sustainability initiatives.

However, as Facet delved deeper into the complexities of sustainability, they couldn’t ignore the looming threats of creeping fascism, the erosion of civil liberties, and the reckless disregard for the environment. The angst and dismay simmering beneath the surface eventually boiled over into an unexpected creative outpouring. Not to mention that a wholly unqualified person stumbled into the office of the President and proceeded to set our country back decades with the help of TOXic Friends Media. Now it’s apparent that an all-hands-on-deck effort is necessary to keep the structure of democracy in our country before those concerned can get to the other various extinction-level threats.

Facet’s debut novel EMBRACE THE LIES in the Political Lust series, emerged not from careful planning but from a primal, almost involuntary release of frustration and anxiety. The words poured out like a literary exorcism, a scathing satire that laid bare the dark underbelly of American politics and the perils of unchecked personal freedom. “I never intended to be a novelist,” Facet admits, “for whatever reason I kept notes, in various notebooks and journals of the many issues that graded at me.” “But the story, the characters, the themes – they all just flowed out of me, like a primal scream.”

With the subsequent release of Embrace, the second installment in what has become an accidental series, Facet has found himself an unlikely voice – a former resort developer turned resistance writer, whose words have become a rallying cry against the forces of authoritarianism. Through their writing, Facet hopes to inspire a new generation of activists, thinkers, and changemakers to join the fight for a more just, equitable, and sustainable world, and to reclaim their roles as guardians of democracy.
